WARNING: There are a few triggers in this one, I can’t actually say which ones or it would give away to much but just remember, it’s a DARK romantic suspense…

Ivy’s Poison is book #5 in the Cavalieri Della Morte Series. I have enjoyed this series so much already and we still have more books to go! The best part is that even though they are interconnected, they are all complete standalones. Ivy’s Poison has stolen the top spot in my faves of this series. Maybe it’s because it has some MC in it or maybe it’s the way that big burly Bor completely steals your heart, either way, it’s now my new fave!

Told from dual POV this dark romantic suspense is Bors & Ivy’s story.

Bors is another assassin under Authors command, working for the Cavalieri Della Morte. Bors is a specialist when it comes to blades and making sure that whoever the target is, they suffer.

Bors has a night of all-out crazy passion with a woman named Ivy but come morning the girl has disappeared without a trace.

Three years later and Bors is out on a hit. Low and behold guess who walks in with his target? Sure enough, the red-headed minx that left him tied up in a hotel room 3 years ago.

Ivy, A.K.A Ivana is the daughter of an MC President. After a night of passion 3 years ago, Ivy left with more than she bargained for only to find out the man she spent that crazy night with is the same one who killed the only sort of protection she had.

Now, she doesn’t know if she wants to hug him or kill him. But the MC has him now and choices have to be made. Ivy just prays that she makes the right one… for everyone.

Will Ivy take her revenge against Bors, or will he work his way into her heart all over again?

I seriously loved this one, IDK if it’s the MC stuff or that you actually really feel for Ivy (the other women in the series haven’t had quite the type of lifestyle she has had) she is a true survivor. Or maybe it’s the fact that Bors is a total teddy bear! Big and burly on the outside but a total softy when it comes to his girl.

“There’s about two grand in there. Four credit cards you can get another five grand off, each.”He wiped a hand over his bearded mouth. “I just want you—her,” he gestured to Jade in my arms, “safe.”Closing his eyes, he shook his head. “Family. It was a foolish dream.”

This is my first read from India Adams but now that she’s claimed the top spot in faves of this series for me, I will most definitely be checking out more of her work ASAP!

A story filled with angst, love, and hope, with a badass assassin that’s brought to his knees by that one special girl.

This was an amazing addition to the Cavalieri Della Morte Series! I highly recommend Ivy’s Poison!

India R. Adams

India is either hiding away and writing in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina, in a studio writing and recording songs for the Forever series, in yoga trying to find her Zen (that keeps escaping her), walking down an old dirt road (no joke), outdoors with her dogs and family (because to live without the sun is a crime), in a coffee shop talking books, or floating in a lake (when the weather permits).

She thinks reading books is the answer to all problems (and having a glass of red wine is a fabulous second solution). She loves to chat with readers because she says they are brilliant and most passionate.

Being a survivor of abuse has inspired India to let others know they have nothing to be ashamed of. Her fictional stories have shadows of her personal experiences. She says, “I’m simply finding ways to empower perfect imperfections.”

Another cause India feels needs change is Sexual Slavery. She has joined forces with jewelers to design beautiful ways to raise money for non-profit organizations.

Even though India writes about serious subjects such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, and Human Trafficking, she has a magnificent sense of humor, as do the characters she creates. Perfectly balanced between laughter and tears, her readers see how to empower their own perfect imperfections.
