My Review

His Salvation Book is book #4 in the Cavalieri Della Morte Series. Although all of these books are part of a series this one can definitely be read as a standalone. The story is told from dual POV. Once again we have another one of the 12 assassins of the Cavalieri Della Morte’s story. Suspenseful and deliciously dark, this series just keeps getting better and better.

Kay Lockwood, a hitman of the highest caliber.

Kay is back in Rome where he grew up for the first time in 8 years. But he isn’t there for a social visit, he’s there to do a hit. But his spidey/assassin senses go off and he knows something isn’t right…

It’s a setup.

Kay is injured during his escape and when he finds a getaway vehicle Evelyn just happens to be in the driver’s seat.

Evelyn Thornton won an all-inclusive trip to Rome that she just couldn’t pass up before she heads back home and starts her career as a veterinarian. But Evelyn was in the wrong place at the wrong time and before she knows it her relaxing holiday becomes less of a dream and more of a nightmare.

But now that the people who are after Kay have seen Evelyn’s face they are BOTH on the run and Kay only has one person in Rome to turn to, Paulo the Don. When Kay was a child and his family was murdered Paulo took him under his wing and that’s where he stayed for 10 years.

Kay and Evelyn are now running for their lives all while Kay is trying to keep them alive and find out who has the hit out on them, while both Kay and Eve try to fight their growing feelings towards one another.

But as usual, there is a whole lot more to the story…

Who has put the hit out on Kay? Will these two be able to fight their feelings or will their love get one or both of them killed?

Every book just keeps getting better and better, I am totally hooked on this series!

This is my first read from Claire Marta and I definitely plan on checking out more of her work! Excellent job and another great addition to the Cavalieri Della Morte Series.
