Haunted (adjective)- Preoccupied with an emotion, memory, or idea; obsessed.
It’s what happens to a man that loses his entire family.
The first years that followed their demise were the worst.
Determined to inflict even a fraction of my pain onto those responsible,
I paid them back the same way they paid me.
I was content to live out my days knowing justice was dealt at my hands.
Consumed with rage.
Obsessed with revenge.
Haunted by regret.
Years later, I take in two boys and suddenly it’s no longer only about me.
That’s where she comes in.
A broken nanny who heals us all.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 𝟓/𝟓 𝓞𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓡𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰: Haunted by Regret by Ashley Lane is book number three in the MC romance series, Heaven’s Guardians MC. Haunted by Regret is standalone but I feel like you NEED to read books one and two, Washed in Blood and Silenced by Sin to fully appreciate not only the main characters but all the unique and amazing side characters that are just as important to the story.
❝𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑒.
𝑂𝑏𝑠𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑒.
𝐻𝑎𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝑟𝑒𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑡.❞
Get the tissues ready you guys, this one is sure to tug on the heart. While the prior two books were about vengeance and justice for the innocents, Bullet’s story was more about hope and healing. I won’t give a rundown of the story because the blurb describes it perfectly but I will say it was a beautiful change of pace and while there was still some drama and suspense thrown in to mix things up a bit and keep readers on the edge of their seats, Haunted by Regret was way more PG than Lane’s previous Heaven’s Guardian’s MC releases.
❝𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑒 𝑏𝑜𝑦𝑠 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑠𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑑 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐼’𝑙𝑙 𝑑𝑜 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑡 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑙𝑒𝑛 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑚𝑒.❞
💙 (𝓗) 𝓗𝓮𝓻𝓸: Hawk ‘Bullet’ Bentley, like the other members of Heaven’s Guardian’s Hawk has been through his fair share of pain. We have met Bullet in the previous books, but in Haunted by Regret… we meet Hawk. After losing his family at a young age he grew to accept that he would be alone forever. But when two innocent little boys, brothers, are about to be separated and placed in foster care, Hawk steps in and agrees to take the boys in and keep them together. Raising two young kids isn’t as easy so Hawk hires a nanny, Holly. But with the boys there and Holly who he starts developing feelings for, things start feeling a little too much like family. It doesn’t take long before Bullet gets in his head and becomes overwhelmed with thoughts of his past.
❝𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑚𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑣𝑎𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑚𝑝𝑡𝑦 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑑𝑎𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑙𝑒𝑓𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡ℎ, 𝑓𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑢𝑟𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑏𝑜𝑦𝑠.❞
❤️ (𝓱) 𝓗𝓮𝓻𝓸𝓲𝓷𝓮: Holly Blue hasn’t been dealt the best hand. She’s working on rebuilding her life and could really use a job, something to help make her forget. When she gets hired as a nanny to two sweet little boys, she could have never imagined that those two little boys and the big, bad, biker man who’s raising them would become her world. But Bullet isn’t the only one with a traumatic past, Holly has her own secrets and demons to work through…
🔥🔥 𝟐/𝟓 𝓢𝓽𝓮𝓪𝓶 𝓕𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓸𝓻: With two little boys already on the scene, Haunted by Regret wasn’t quite as steamy as some of Lane’s other reads. But it was still enjoyable. I found the banter between Hawk and Holly adorable and laughed out loud many times. Don’t get me wrong, there was definitely still some steam though, although there is a whole lot of sexual tension, the first steamy scene is at about 53% in.

💚💚 𝓢𝓮𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓪𝓻𝔂 𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓼: First off, catching up with the other members of Heaven’s Guardian’s and their leading ladies AND children, absolutely love! My favorite part of this series is how much of a family these guys are. But I can’t NOT mention the boys! Falcon is three years old and absolutely adorable! That little boy stole my heart just as quick as his protective big brother Tobias did. Tobias may only be ten years old, but he’s his little brother’s keeper and my heart cracked at all that these kids have been through, especially Tobias.

🌪 𝓒𝓵𝓲𝓯𝓯𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓻 𝓦𝓪𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰: Nope, no cliffhanger. With the help of sweet little Falcon, Holly and “Bull’s” story wraps up beautifully. I still can’t wait for my baby Demon to get his story though! Something tells me it will be a lot different than Bullet’s story…

Ashley Lane has been passionate about words her entire life.
Her true love affair with books began when her husband surprised her with a Kindle for Christmas in 2014. Since then, she’s become infatuated with words and the way they can break her but make her whole at the same time.
Ashley’s love for reading transformed and became a need to share stories that have been inside her head and heart for years. In 2018 after some much convincing on her husband’s part, she opened a Word document, and Priest and the Heaven’s Guardians MC was born.
Being the boy mom of an almost 2-year-old and 9-year-old means she lives off Goldfish crumbs and Diet Coke. But when she does have a spare minute of time to herself, you can typically find her parked on the couch, Kindle within reach, catching up on the previous week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy or Hell’s Kitchen.
