𝓡𝓮𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓮 𝓓𝓪𝓽𝓮: January. 23, 2020
WARNING: Royal Hearts Academy is a New Adult/High School series of standalones filled with drama, a touch of angst, and boys who are bad to the bone. The characters are flawed. If you’re looking for a safe, sweet romance with nice heroes and heroines who are perfect all the time, this series is NOT for you.
Welcome to their kingdom…
Cole Covington is the most popular heartbreaker at school.
Every guy wants to be him and every girl wants to screw him.
His devastatingly good looks, golden arm, and flirty smiles don’t do it for me anymore…because I know what’s lurking underneath the star quarterback’s gorgeous armor.
At least I thought I did.
Sometimes the most beautiful people…hide the ugliest truths.
And sometimes the only way to save someone…
is to walk beside them through hell.
Sawyer Church is the bible-thumping nerd of Royal Hearts Academy.
Girls pick on her and guys don’t notice her.
Sweet, curvy, and sarcastic, she’s impossible to ignore.
No matter how much I try.
Everyone at school has her pegged as the chubby, Jesus loving geek, but unlike them—Sawyer’s real and never pretends to be someone she’s not.
Until I ask her to be my fake girlfriend.
Sometimes the most beautiful souls…hide the greatest pain.
And sometimes the only way to save someone…
is to fight for them.
This is book 2 in the Royal Hearts Academy series. Please note: Although this is Cole and Sawyer’s book, Cruel Prince (Jace and Dylan’s book) should be read first for a better understanding of the family dynamic.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 𝓞𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓡𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰: Ruthless Knight by Ashley Jade is book two in the Royal Hearts Academy series. Although it can be read as a standalone, Cruel Prince should be read first in order to gain a better grasp and understanding of the Covington family dynamic. With that being said, if you read and liked Cruel Prince, then Ruthless Knight is about to blow your freaking mind!! I enjoyed Cruel Prince… but I absolutely LOVED Ruthless Knight and would give it sooo many more stars if I could!!! They say opposites attract and the saying couldn’t be truer for Cole Covington and Sawyer Church. But when a fake dating scheme turns into real feelings, both Cole and Sawyer’s world is turned upside down.
❝𝐷𝑜𝑛’𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑓𝑖𝑥 𝑚𝑒. 𝑌𝑜𝑢’𝑙𝑙 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝑐𝑢𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑦 𝑓𝑢𝑐𝑘𝑒𝑑-𝑢𝑝 𝑝𝑖𝑒𝑐𝑒𝑠.”…“𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑠 …𝐼’𝑙𝑙 𝑤𝑎𝑡𝑐ℎ 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑎 𝑠𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒 𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑦 𝑓𝑎𝑐𝑒.❞
I have always loved Ashley Jade’s work but Ruthless Knight… this is honestly the best yet! Ruthless Knight took me back in time, back to when I was 16-18 years old and dealing with some of the exact same issues. Love, heartache, self-worth, self-image, Ruthless Knight deals with REAL everyday issues that young teens face. I LOVED it. I am just completely floored. I CRIED, you guys! And I’m not talking about getting teary-eyed, I CRIED!!! I surely was NOT expecting that! The characters, the secondary characters, the angst… it all added up to one fabulous read. There were just so many moments that made me love this book but my very favorite “moment” was with Jace and Cole. If you have read the book or decide to read the book, you WILL know exactly which one I’m talking about. OH.MY.GOD! Full-on ugly crying ya’ll. I was already part way there but when Jace walked in… seriously sobbed like a baby!
❝𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑤𝑖𝑛 𝑑𝑖𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑑𝑎𝑦. 𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑖𝑡’𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑚𝑦 𝑓𝑎𝑢𝑙𝑡.❞
I can’t not mention my boy, Oakley. Ruthless Knight has made me even more curious about him than I already was. Even though I wanted to be mad at him for giving it to her in the first place… he saw the signs and he did TRY… unfortunately, it was just a little too late but at least he tried to make things right. I want Bianca’s book… but I am absolutely DYING for Oaks!
Bianca, I feel like we know her character a little more now. I absolutely despised the girl in Cruel Prince… but now, I feel like maybe she’s just looking for her self-worth in all the wrong places. That girl has a story to tell and I can’t wait to hear it in Wicked Princess. If you enjoy new adult romances with tons of angst, then Ruthless Knight is the read for you!
❝𝐼 ℎ𝑢𝑟𝑡… 𝑠𝑜 𝐼 ℎ𝑢𝑟𝑡 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑠. 𝐸𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑡.❞
💙 (𝓗) 𝓗𝓮𝓻𝓸: Colton ‘Cole’ Freakin Covington. I liked Jace, but Cole… Cole is in a class all of his own! At first, just like most, I thought he was a total tool! So cruel, so mean, so self-centered. Now we know better. There are so many layers to Cole. One layer is what he wants people to see, the golden boy quarterback. Another is the layer his family sees, the spoiled brat, trouble maker. And then there’s the third layer, the best layer of them all… the one that he lets Sawyer see. The real Colton. The him that he wants to be. Cole’s confession… oh. my. god. I wasn’t expecting nor was I prepared for that. My heart didn’t just shatter, it completely freaking disintegrated for him. Cole has been carrying the weight of his shame for so long, he’s NEVER felt good enough, and that… that was just the icing on Cole’s self-hate cake. But BOTH times, when he stood up to Sawyer’s parents, I was rooting for him soooo freaking hard!
❝𝐼’𝑚 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑏𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑒𝑔 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑟𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑓𝑖𝑡 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝑎 𝑠𝑞𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑒 ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑒…𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑡𝑟𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑐ℎ 𝑚𝑦 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒.❞
❤️ (𝓱) 𝓗𝓮𝓻𝓸𝓲𝓷𝓮: Sawyer ‘Bible Thumper’ Church. Sawyer has such a huge heart, she is an amazing girl, even though she doesn’t realize it. She’s an amazing friend, and she’s loyal to a fault. When no one, not even his own siblings, saw the good in Cole, Sawyer did. She never gave up on him, even though there were times where she probably should have. She saw something inside of him and she was determined to dig deeper. I adored Sawyer and related to her soo much at the beginning of Ruthless Knight. But somewhere along the way she lost herself and became what seemed to be a totally different character then what we started out with. I understand the reasons why though and I think things went exactly as they needed to, to show exactly how far down the self-loathing rabbit hole that Sawyer had fallen and we were able to see her battle her demons. (P.S- I really want to throat punch BOTH of Sawyer’s parents, but especially her Mom…)
❝𝐻𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑒𝑠 𝑚𝑒. 𝐹𝑙𝑎𝑤𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑙𝑙. 𝑊𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑡𝑤𝑜 𝑑𝑖𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒, 𝑤𝑒 𝑑𝑜𝑛’𝑡 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑦 𝑚𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡… ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑐𝑒𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑢𝑒 𝑚𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑛𝑜 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑒𝑙𝑠𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑜.❞
🔥🔥🔥🔥 𝓢𝓽𝓮𝓪𝓶 𝓕𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓸𝓻: The chemistry between these two is palpable. Although there are many, many differences between Cole and Sawyer, the two are so much more alike than even they are aware. Both just deal with their self-loathing differently. But when they come together, let’s just say Cole opens his bible thumper up to a whole nother world! Plus, Cole Covington has got a dirty mouth on him and I loved every single minute of it!
❝𝑂𝑢𝑟 𝑘𝑖𝑠𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑓𝑖𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑖𝑐𝑒… 𝑠𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑡 𝑚𝑒𝑒𝑡𝑠 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑟.❞
🌪 𝓒𝓵𝓲𝓯𝓯𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓻 𝓦𝓪𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰: Nope, Sawyer and Cole’s story wraps up beautifully, but only after a whole lot of heartbreak. Up next is Bianca’s story, Wicked Princess!
⚠️ 𝓣𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓰𝓮𝓻 𝓦𝓪𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰: There are difficult subjects that could be considered triggers. If you would like to know more about what those are, feel free to DM me!

I open my mouth to speak, but Bianca beats me to it.
“In Cole’s defense, he told me not to hook up with any guys. He never said anything about girls, though.”Smirking, she adds, “Plus, it’s not like he was there. He was too busy hanging out with his new girlfriend, Sawyer.”
On second thought, maybe locking her up in the basement isn’t such a bad idea after all. There would be way less shit for her to stir up from down there.
I can tell the exact moment he processes what she said because the little vein in his forehead makes an appearance. “Sawyer? As in Dylan’s best friend, Sawyer?”
“Do you know any other Sawyers?”
“I told you to stay away from her.”
“You also told me not to fuck Mrs. Bennett, but she ended up giving me an A in history.”
“Holy shit. You fucked Cortland’s mom?”Bianca exclaims.
We both ignore her.
“Look,” Jace starts. “Dylan doesn’t want you hanging around Sawyer. Not after what you did to her.”
“I’m sorry, last I checked, I’m a big boy and Dylan doesn’t get to make decisions for me.”
“Yeah,” Bianca cheers.
Jace’s gaze swings her way. “Go upstairs.”
“Whatever.”She fixes her stare on Oakley. “I’m gonna call Hayley and see if she wants to hang out.”
Oakley makes a low growling sound as she scampers away. When she’s out of earshot, he says, “Hayley’s a sweet girl, Jace. You need to put an end to that shit.”
Truth be told, I get why he’s uneasy about the whole thing. Hayley might be two years older than Bianca, but Bianca is…Bianca.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out things probably won’t end well once Bianca decides she’s had enough and moves on.
Huffing out a breath, Jace motions to me. “Yeah, after I put out the other fire.”
“Me dating Sawyer isn’t a fire.”
It’s a motherfucking atomic bomb.
