Sunshine.

It’s a nickname I haven’t heard since I lived on Woodbury Lane, where the houses were pretty but the secrets? Deadly. It was a pet name known only to the Bullets. Rough, violent, and ruthless, they laid claim to the town — and my heart.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for a boy from the wrong side of the tracks—especially not four of them. But they were the only ones who understood that sometimes hell hides in plain sight.

I was the girl with all the conveniences a privileged upbringing could provide. The world only saw two loving parents and a pristine home life, but I knew the truth. And it was going to get me killed. So, I disappeared, from everyone and everything I’d ever known. I changed my name and my appearance, but the scars I carry, they’re still the same.

The Bullets are all grown up now, too — a crime boss, a pro fighter, a bounty hunter, and a federal agent. Life took them in different directions, but they once shared the bonds of a brotherhood forged under the harshest conditions. Together they were fearless. Brutal. Unstoppable.

I’m praying they can find that unity again. If I’m going to survive this, it’ll take everything they have. Because that’s the thing about running from the past.

Eventually, it catches up to you.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 𝓞𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓡𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰: Sunshine and Bullets by Coralee June was exactly what I had hoped for in a contemporary, reverse harem, dark romance! The blurb explains the plot perfectly, the storyline is fast-paced and totally addictive. Sunshine and Bullets is told in multiple POV’s and although the story is in the present, there are plenty of flashbacks of the past between Sunshine and her guys. The story starts five years after Sunshine uncovers something awful and leaves town without a trace, leaving her Bullets without so much as a goodbye behind. The plot, the characters, the angst, June is a fantastic author, she and this series has reeled me in hook, line, and sinker! I am completely invested in these characters and this story. Again this IS a dark romance, there are some parts that are going to be hard to read, but oh it is SO freakin worth it! I am REALLY hoping for a happy ending for Sunshine and her Bullets. Now, on to book two, Summer and Smoke, I am dying to find out what happens next! If you like reverse harems or dark romances with tons of angst and suspense, then you NEED to check out Sunshine and Bullets!

💙 (𝓗) 𝓗𝓮𝓻𝓸: Multiple “heroes” and if I had a gun to my head and had to pick one, I absolutely could NOT choose! All five of them are completely different from one another but they each bring something to their group dynamic that makes it just work. So Sunshine, you freaking go girl!!!

Gavriel Moretti is the leader of the Bullets. Gav is the definition of an anti-hero. He calls the shots and he makes the rules. Gavriel is dark, devious, and absolutely demanding but the man is still sex on a stick! He can be cruel at times but he’s always looking out for the Bullets, and especially Sunshine’s, best interest.

Blaise Bennett is the charming funny guy, the one that tries and keeps situations light-hearted but Blaise is also the needest of the guys. If it were up to him he would take up all of Sunshine’s time. He’s insecure and needs to feel wanted. Gahh, I just love Blaise.

Ryker… my sweet, sweet Ryker. Most probably wouldn’t classify him as sweet beings he’s a badass fighter… and because of the way he treats Sunshine when she returns. But he is. Ryker has had a tough life, same as the rest of them, but even though he’s tough on the outside he feels things much, much deeper than the rest of the gang. He’s rough around the edges but you can’t help but love him.

Callum Mercer, the honorary Bullet. I really wasn’t sure about Callum at first… I was almost willing to bet that he would switch sides. So far, that hasn’t happened. Officer Mercer is the golden boy of Chesterbrook (where they are all from) and he always wants to handle things by the book. Whereas Gav prefers to handle things off the books. Callum wants the white picket fence and two point five kids, in turn, he is the one most bothered by the “group” aspect… so I can’t wait to see how he copes with that, and if he decides to stick around for the long haul…

Also, I can’t NOT mention Nix! Although Nix is NOT one of THE guys, he is Sunshine’s best friend and he an absolute sweetheart! Nix needs his own book and his own love interest and I am keeping my fingers AND my toes crossed that he gets it! *HINT HINT MS. JUNE!*

❤️ (𝓱) 𝓗𝓮𝓻𝓸𝓲𝓷𝓮: Summer Bright, aka Sunshine. Sunshine is the only character that I would have liked to have seen differently. I just wanted her to be stronger. To put up a fight. To not just run or roll over and take it. The girl needs more of a backbone to handle these guys. But there is a lot more story to come and I have super high hopes for her now that she’s back with her boys!

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 𝓢𝓽𝓮𝓪𝓶 𝓕𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓸𝓻: REVERSE HAREM = SCORCHING FREAKIN HOT!!! I freakin love reverse harem, and I LOVE that although there were “group” scenes, there was also a lot of one on one time with each of the guys as well.
