My Review

Twisted Betrayal, book number two of the Rydeville High Elite series by Siobhan Davis. Let me just start by saying, OH.MY.GOD!!! I have written and rewritten this review several times you guys! Without telling spoilers, which I refuse to do, this is a hard one to review. There was just SOO much that happened! Every other page felt like we were uncovering more and more secrets and answering questions that only led to MORE questions. There were so many twists and just when you think you are slowly but surely starting to figure things out BOOM *insert record scratch here* ANOTHER PLOT TWIST!

After reading Cruel Intentions I knew I was in for one hell of a story but DAMNNNN, I devoured this book! If you thought Cruel Intentions did a number on ya then you better hang on tight because Twisted Betrayal is about to knock you on your ass! Trust me, you ain’t seen nothing yet!

I have loved Siobhan Davis for a long, long time (wayyy back before I even knew I needed to leave reviews lol) and with every new release, Siobhan has no problem shocking the shit out of readers, you just NEVER know what’s going to happen next, and there is no figuring it out no matter how hard you try!

I have never trembled while reading a book before, I didn’t just tremble while reading this one, I shook. There were parts where I was just so angry for Abby and Kai that I wanted to cry. Heed my words, this one will have you on the edge of your seat, the suspense is palpable!

There were a few scenes that I legit RE-READ just because I was like wait, did that really just happen?! Did he just say that?! Did she just do that?! Seriously you guys, MIND FREAKING BLOWN! Did someone say book hangover? No? Oh yea, that was me!

Abigail, my heart is shattered for her. I have to admit that in book one, Abby didn’t win me over. Even though I felt for her tremendously after seeing first hand how horrible of a man her father is, but Abby just had that snobby rich girl attitude down to a science and she was just a little too immature for my liking. But with Twisted Betrayal and all the crap that she’s been put through I see soo much more character development and maturity with her. Abby got her sassy backbone back!

By the end of the last book, I wanted to kick Kaiden’s ass. But now, I just wanna hug him. Don’t get me wrong Kai is still Kai lol, he’s overprotective and he may as well piss on Abby for as territorial as he is but Kai literally broke my heart during a few scenes. You are about to see a side of Kai. He’s still the asshole we all have gotten to know BUT he’s most definitely showing a softer side of himself to Abby and his brothers.

“From the moment I met you, you’ve consumed my thoughts. You are my world, Abby. I want this baby.” His jaw tightens, and his eyes blaze with determination. “And I want you.”

These two together again, my heart has broken time and time again for them. No matter how hard they are trying to beat the odds it’s starting to feel like it will be impossible for them to make this work. BUT they aren’t giving up! I love Abby and Kai, and even though I think Abby went about it the wrong way I am glad she made Kai pay his dues before forgiving him. But with Abby’s sassy attitude and Kai damn near pissing on her to mark his territory, these two are EXPLOSIVE together! The sexy times… HOLY SHITTTT! 🔥🔥

The secondary characters OMG, as always I’m loving these guys but we met even more characters this time around, including the youngest Anderson brother, Harley! Gahhh he is absolutely adorable! The little glimpse of my fave Kennedy couple, Kyler & Faye *sigh* Oh, and the names Abby uses to check her and Kai into the hotel, a little shoutout to I Dare You (which I absolutely love) was hilarious because yes, Kai might not have gotten the significance but Abby sure did! 😂😂😂

Oh and the character that we ALL hated before, OMG you are going to LOATHE his entire being now! I’m not even exaggerating Abby’s father is a despicable man and I have NEVER seen a more disgusting, repulsive character! Seriously ya’ll get the tissues ready because if you think he was cruel to Abby before… SMH 🤬🤬🤬

Siobhan is the QUEEN of dramatic cliffhangers that make you wanna break stuff and the ending of Twisted Betrayal was no different, if you thought the cliffhanger of the first book was killer, then you ain’t seen nothing yet! HUGE, HUGEE, HUGEEE, don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

I am sooo beyond ready for Sweet Retributions and I literally just finished Twisted Betrayal a day ago, I have no idea how I’m going to wait until October. BUT until then my mind will be creating all sorts of theories AGAIN! If you haven’t started reading the Rydeville High Elite series yet then what are you waiting on??!!

This is a MUST READ and I highly recommend!
