The St. Cecilia Slayings series must be read in order so if you haven’t read Tainted yet then go do that before you read Corrupted, or this review for that matter!

Shewww… these ladies are KILLING ME! Again, these books are short novelettes so at 13 chapters, even though it goes from 13-25 since Tainted left off on chapter 12, it’s a really fast-paced read. It’s like they give us just enough of a taste to keep us sooo wrapped up in this story and the case and then BAM, the books over! Lol, at least it’s only a month in between or I would be going crazy.

Maverick is still just as obsessed over the case as he was before, only now he’s not only obsessed with the case but also Keira DuBois AND the sexy killer in latex too. I’m pretty sure Maverick has some compulsion issues lol

The relationship between Maverick and Keira seems to be advancing although since her family is still active suspects in the case everything has to stay on the down low. For as little sex that ACTUALLY happens in this book, this shit is HOT! Like seriously change your panties HOT! Maverick is ALL man, and he’s definitely a total alpha in and out of bed.

We do get a little more background on Maverick, about his father and his abuse and alcoholism. One thing is for sure though, Maverick is quickly unraveling and what’s going to happen when he comes completely undone? I guess we’ll find out soon.

I’m becoming more and more invested in this series and I can’t wait to find out if I’m right about who I think the killer is. Oh and what the hell is up with Keira’s weirdo brother Elon… something is definitely off about him, and his and Keira’s relationship… why is she so submissive around him?

What is Ruby’s deal? Why is she STILL pursuing Maverick even after he’s a total dick towards her over and over again? Just doesn’t make sense… and now she’s following the other detective around… What’s the deal with him meeting sketchy ass people anyway?

One thing I did notice is that it seems like all these victims happen to be married to women that don’t really seem all that upset by their deaths… I could be way off base with my theory but I guess we shall see!

Ughhh, I’m losing my mind over this shit, yet again we are left with more questions than answers. BRING ON DEPRAVED, I need answers like YESTERDAY!

Oh, almost forgot, the bible verses at the beginning of every chapter, freakin AWESOME how much they actual intrigue and kind of set the tone for that chapter.

Secrets, sex, & suspense! I highly recommend this series!
