Life separated us.
Destiny tied me to her.
Obsession drove me mad.
I knew they all hurt her. What I didn’t understand is how deep . . .
Seven years ago, they ripped her from me—my father. The friends I made at school. Jealousy drove all of those bastards into conspiring against us.
And they won.
I almost killed myself after losing her.
Now I live for only three things:
I will destroy everyone who hurt her.
I will find her.
I’ll become the biggest monster ever known to accomplish those things.
I’m at the head of my father’s empire now. A corporate king. I’m ready to finally put in place the plan I’ve been working on for years.
I’m ready to find my Lexi.
What I didn’t realize is that she had already found me.
⚠Warning: this series is not for everyone. As the story progresses, dark themes are explored that might be a trigger for some. Please read at your own discretion. Definitely 18+
My Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Systematic Siege is a dark, second chance romance about Andrew Drevlow and Lexi Berkman. This book is told from dual POV and will suck you in from the first page to the last page! Drew and Lexi’s story is filled with love, heartache, and vengeance.
Andrew’s father ruined Lexi’s and drove him to take his own life. She should absolutely hate him..but for some reason, she can’t find it in her to hate Andrew.
Andrew’s ex, the girl his evil father pushed him to be with because it would be “good for the families” and Andrews supposed best friends do something absolutely horrible to Lexi and she is completely crushed.
The only way to take Stephen and the rest of his so-called friends down was for Andrew to admit that he was in on it with them, he wasn’t but he would have done or said anything to make sure they all went down. So that’s what he did.
Little did Andrew know that while his father left him in jail overnight Mr. Drevlow was busy showing Lexi, Andrew’s confession on tape and giving her and her mother enough “hush money” to leave town. As far as Lexi knew, the boy she was in love with had just played her and ruined her just like his father had done to hers.
By the time Andrew is released from jail the next day, Lexi is long gone.
A few years pass and Stephan, the same friend that ruined things between Lexi and Drew, convinces Lexi that he wasn’t in on the video and that it was all Andrew’s plan. Lexi and her mom need help so they accept Stephan’s offer.
That would be the second biggest mistake of Lexi’s life. After a while, Steven’s true colors come out and he abuses Lexi, over and over again. Then to keep her under his control he infects her mother with a lab created strain of aids.
Years go by and Lexi finally escapes with her mother from under Stephens clutches.
She goes to the one person that she knows can help her take down Stephen, Andrew Drevlow.
What Lexi doesn’t know is that Andrew has never given up on her. He has spent the last 7 years searching for her while he did everything and anything he could do to numb the pain of her absence…including almost taking his own life, twice.
At first, Lexi doesn’t want to believe Andrew, if what he says is true then that means she ran for nothing. If Andrew is telling the truth then that means everything that she has been through, everything Stephen has put her through was all for nothing.
Drew is determined to get revenge for what they did to him, for what they did to her. Now that he finally has Lexi back he won’t stop until every single one of them is ruined. Lexi is and always has been his everything and he’s going to make damn sure every single one of them pays.
The glimpses of their past together, and of the spiral that Andrew goes through after Lexi disappears, let alone what Lexi suffered at the hands of Stephen, is absolutely heartbreaking.
There is a bit of a cliffhanger but you actually get the first 10 chapters of the duet book, Mortal Siege! I can’t wait to watch Andrew and Lexi take down all the ones who wronged them!
I feel so, soo much for these characters. N. Isabelle Blanco sure does know how to write a story! You can feel what the characters are going through, Andrew’s heartbreak, I felt like I was sitting right next to him watching it for myself! This is my first book from Isabella and it for sure will NOT be the last!
Now, I must go stalk everything Isabelle writes!
