Blurb:

This isn’t another “I hate you because I secretly love you” story. Boy really does hate girl. And this isn’t just a forbidden love story. This is obsession at its darkest.
I don’t believe in fairy tales and Prince Charming.
I believe in fear.
He taught me how to be afraid.
We first met on a playground on a wonderful summer day. It was the first time he hurt me and it wouldn’t be the last. For ten years, he’s been my tormentor and I’ve been his forbidden. But then he went away, and yet I was still afraid.
Now he’s back and wants more than just my tears. You see…he thinks I sent him away so now he wants revenge…and he knows just how to get it this isn’t another “I hate you because I secretly love you” story. The boy really does hate the girl. And this isn’t just a forbidden love story. This is obsession at its darkest.

My Review:

First, let me start off by saying there is a warning on this book for a reason! If you are not into brutal bully romances, then this is probably not going to be your type of read.

With that being said, holy shit! I devoured this book in a day, I literally could not put it down! I’m not one to listen to the audible of books, I just don’t prefer it, but with this one, when I did have to put it down, even for a minute, I had the audible playing! I just had to keep reading!!! It’s been a while since a book has sucked me in like that!

Lake has been through a lot in her young life. First, her parents disappear and she’s left to live with her Aunt in Six Forks, where at 8 years old she meets the boy who will continue to torture her for the next 10 years.

Keiran is totally messed up! Hotter than sin but a total asshole. He’s controlling and possessive and for reasons unknown to Lake he absolutely hates her. Keiran is obsessed with making Lake fear him, and he has succeeded for 10 long years. Keiran is the ULTIMATE anti-hero, he isn’t just a bad guy, he’s absolutely horrible! But…like every bad guy…there’s more then meets the eye and Keiran has a whole list of reasons why he’s surrounded in darkness.

Fear Me had a little of everything, sex, blackmail, murder, and sooo much more! B.B Reid is such a talented writer. This is not my first book of hers and I know this was one of her earlier releases but I was checking out her website and saw that the 4 year anniversary of Fear Me was coming up and she had a couple of excerpts up, OMG! I immediately threw out my plans of what I was going to review next and grabbed up this whole series! I’m so glad that I did!

I’ve tried to think of some constructive criticism, but I’ve got nothing. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this book. Some may think it’s a little too harsh, but for me, there was plenty of warning and it was right up my alley.

If you like YA/NA with a side of totally twisted, Fear Me is the book for you! I can’t wait to see where book two, Fear You, takes Lake and Keiran.

Welcome to Six Forks!
